Matt is a graduate of William Carey University and is a seasoned counselor with nearly 20 years of being in professional practice. He is experienced in providing evidence-based therapy to individuals and families. Having earned a Master of Science in Child/Adolescent Counseling and a certification in Gerontology, his practice ranges from children to elderly care. Matt’s career path includes having been a substitute teacher, therapist and training coordinator for Intensive In-Home and Out-Patient care. He is extremely proficient in building rapports and assisting his clients with unique, patient centered behavioral modification techniques. He is also able to provide help to those who are struggling with money management, activities of daily living, interpersonal relationships, sexual health, educational attainment goals, chemical dependency, loss, depression, anxiety and more. He also has had the honor to work with veterans. Having been part of WakeMed’s Tobacco Cessation Program, Matt is able to provide comprehensive, multi-disciplinary support to those looking to quit tobacco for good. Matt truly enjoys partnering with his clients and assisting them in achieving their behavioral health goals! When not working, Matt is a self-identified foodie, loves to absorb culture, and travel when possible

Matt will admit you from the waiting room into the session. Please note that at times, there may be a delay in your provider joining the meeting and an appropriate grace period past your scheduled appointment time may be necessary to allow your provider to prepare to meet with you. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.

A representative from Resilience Wellness will contact patients prior to the appointment to collect co-pays and/or deductibles if applicable.

If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule an appointment, patients are required to contact Penny or their provider via email or text message at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time to avoid a fee.

Resilience Wellness Telehealth No-Show and Cancellation Policies

It is the goal of Resilience Wellness to provide exceptional care to every patient in a timely manner. We appreciate your understanding of and adherence to our policies.

Patients who miss their appointment (no show) or fail to cancel or reschedule the appointment more than 24 hours in advance, will be charged a $75 fee. New patients who no show and/or late/same day cancel/reschedule their initial appointment twice will not be permitted to reschedule with any of our providers for 30 days.

If a patient has incurred 2 documented no-show and/or late/same day cancellations/reschedules, Resilience Wellness reserves the right to dismiss the patient or require a non-refundable payment based on self-pay rates for any future services.

Patients who have 3 no show and/or late/same day cancellation/reschedules may be discharged from the practice (including therapy and med management).

For a patient previously dismissed due to no show and/or late cancellation/reschedules to be eligible to schedule with a Resilience Wellness provider again, any and all patient charges, including fees pertaining to missed appointments, must be settled and pre-payment of a portion of the new visit amount may be required.

Patients with a balance at or above $225 must make a payment to bring the balance below $225 prior to being seen by their provider
