Ned is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned his Master of Social Work from East Carolina University in 2023. He has spent the last several years working in a community mental health setting, providing outpatient therapy to individuals experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and mood disorders. Ned understands that beginning therapy can feel intimidating and strives to create a casual, safe, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves.
Ned believes in helping clients better understand the challenges they are facing and providing them with practical knowledge and tools to navigate those challenges. He incorporates a variety of clinical interventions into his practice, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral activation, and some dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). His approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual needs of each client, with the goal of helping clients build the skills and insight needed to work through obstacles and create meaningful change.
Outside of his professional work, Ned enjoys watching movies, writing, and spending time with his friends.
