Dr. Joyce Carter is a therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and more, who empowers clients to harness their inner strengths, redefine self-worth, and create fulfilling lives. Joyce believes that one’s thoughts, feelings, and circumstances do not define who we are, and while we can’t always control our outside world, we can control our internal world and seek to live our best lives. She helps people understand and tap into the power we each possess to recreate ourselves and learn our true self-worth.
Having worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and school settings, Joyce has helped people in a range of ages, from children up through older adults, for over 20 years. She has experience in an array of areas, including significant anxiety, depression, trauma, and much more. With her expertise, she has also provided numerous professional trainings and worked as a clinical supervisor for other counseling professionals.
In her free time Joyce loves running, beach activities, and spending time with her family.
